MIHAE KIM


MIHAE KIM is the principal and art director of Gimga Design Group. She has over 25 years of experience in the graphic design field. Prior to starting Gimga Design Group in 1991, Mihae worked for Brown & Craig and RS Jensens in Baltimore, Maryland and Hembrech Terrell International in New York.

Mihae has designed hundreds of projects throughout her career including logo design and branding, packaging, publications, annual reports, newsletters, trade show materials, retail spaces and signage, and websites. Her list of clients include non-profit organizations, corporations, health industries and small businesses; such as World Wildlife Fund, Landscape Architecture Foundation, Historic Roads, World Environment Center, Children's Defense Fund, Women's Policy Inc. IACA, Head Start Association, Sharlom Baranes Associates, The World Bank, The Smithsonian Institute... to name a few.

Mihae is a founding member of The Korean American Alliance, a past President of The Korean American Artists Association, a Board Member of The Korean American Coalition, Korean American scholarship Foundation, Chairs Youth Art Festivals, and a member of The Art Director's Club, Korean Women's International Network. She was invited to speak at the Asian American Studies Class and participate in the Portfolio Review at the University Maryland. She received her BFA from the Corcoran School of Art in 1985.
